This costume was home made for my son who was seven years old at the time. The head was made from a piece of construction tube bought at the hardware store. The top of the head was shaped with pieces of sytrofoam bought at the craft store and the eyes and nose were cut out.
The entire head was then sprayed with yellow spray paint (after covering the sytrofoam in tape so that the paint would not eat away at it). Black netting was added to the eyes and nose. The body was made from cutting, taping and spraying four pieces of cardboard boxes to the desired shape and adding holes for the arms.
The treat box was made by cutting plastic cups and gluing the ends on before spray painting and added a string. This costume was very popular and my son was excited to win two different costume contests while wearing it!
