Homemade Boba Fett Costume for Kids

0

This Star Wars Boba Fett costume was almost 100% scratch-made by me for my 11yo son. The family are all huge Star Wars fans and Boba Fett was chosen because of the challenge and complexity of creating it accurately. It is based off of a pair of modified coveralls. Armor, codpiece, and belt pouches are all made from craft foam and stitched to a hand dyed t-shirt. Jetpack was made from scrap cans, coffee cups, cardboard and hand painted. It has been attached with Velcro to a scratch made harness with straps that pass through the back of the shirt. Helmet was built off of an old BMX helmet with heavy paper, foam board, and lots and lots of tape and hot glue, also hand painted. Rifle and gauntlets were the only unmodified store bought items. The whole project, excluding weaponry cost around $200 and took roughly 60 hours to complete. Happy Halloween!
