DIY Grinch and Cindy Lou Couples Costumes

I am wearing the Grinch costume and my wife is Cindy Lou Who. I made this costume from head to toe. I first started with a lifecast of my face and then sculpted the Grinch face out of clay. Once I had that where I wanted it I made a negative mold with Ultracal30. Once that dried I poured several copies with liquid latex and did multi layered paint jobs and hand laid the eyebrows. Next I made false teeth to fit perfectly over my own teeth. I made them with thermamelt plastic and stained them with coffee, tea, and soy sauce then coated them with food safe resin. I ordered 5 yards of fur fabric and hand sewed the suit from scratch. I repeated these same steps to make my wife her who nose! 🙂
